How academic should nursing be?

How academic should nursing be? I think the nrsing course is getting way too academic! I personally thought that nursing is about you intrepersonal skills and being caring!?!?!

More hours OR less work

Did you ever think, that we may be able to fit everything into our days, if there were more hours in the day (or if we just had less work to do)?!?!

The Metro on Friday 8th June 2007 front page news was that The United Nations figures show that 'workaholic Britons toil away longer every wek than any other nation in the developed world.' 'A quarter of the workforce - around 7 million people - put in more than 48 hours a week.'

Healthy snacks

As part of my nursing training, we have to run an after-school club. As part of the club, we give them a healthy snack and drink. Today we did fruit kebabs which seemed to be popular, but was wondering if people and any other ideas?

The Weather!

Why do we have to be stuck in doors when the weather is soooooo nice!?!?!?! Then come the weeked you either have too much work still to enjoy the weather OR it is raining!

Work?

Today I have been doing work - assignment and lots of paper work and other projects etc for my course. I feel like I have done quite a lot of research etc but don't actually feel like I have actully done anything. I suppose we need days lik this to be able to write the assignments!

Could you be a student nurse?

The amount of work I have after nearly one year of nursing is unbelievable! One skill they don't tell you that you really need is to be very organised!!!! Could you do it?

Busy Weekends

Sorry I haven't been very good at blogging recently - I have been very busy!
To weekends ago, I went away to Hill House, Sommerset with UWE CU. We had a great relaxin weekend, enjoying the weather, whilst learning more about God.
Last weekend,I went to The Quinta, Shropshire. This is going to be a new camp site for PACT, so some of us went for the low ropes team-building course. I went with Chris, Becky and Liz (who's parents kindly let me stay over the night). It was a great day - fun was had by all.
Tomorrow I am going home for bank holiday weekend, and for my music teachers' last school summer concert!!!!
